Summer Training is an exciting and crucial part of any dancer's progress. Dancers show progress equivalent to a whole semester in just 5 weeks of DCSA Summer Intensive. Taking advantage of the whole summer of DCSA Summer Intensive could result in a year's worth of progress in a dancer's technique and artistry! The summer intensive program is for dancers, ages 9+. Dancers will participate in a variety of classes to improve their overall technique and artistry. Our prestigious faculty (see below) will work in detail on classical technique, pointe, pas de deux, contemporary/jazz, classical variations, repertoire, contemporary choreography and Progressing Ballet Technique. We also offer housing for summer intensive for our out-of-town guests. This is a special rate provided by Marriott TownePlace Suites San Antonio Airport - minutes from the studio! Please have your dancer dressed when they arrive, bring only items needed for dance. We will not allow parents or public into the studio.
If you are ill, we encourage you to stay home and recover.

Summer Intensive Faculty
Our excellent faculty includes DCSA's own Artistic Director Vanessa Bessler and top-notch DCSA Faculty, together with renown ballet masters from all over the world, who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from accomplished performing and teaching careers.
Tuition:
Full session, early registration attendees receive our best prices!
Ballet Session I - May 27-June 28:
Full session, 5 weeks: $2500
One week only: week of May 27-May 31 $440; all other weeks $550
Ballet Session II - July 1-August 2:
Full session, 5 weeks: $2500
One week: $550
Uniform:
Monday through Thursday dancers should wear a black leotard, skirt optional. Fridays dancers are encouraged to wear a leotard of their choice. Tutus & Ribbons Boutique carries an extensive selection of dance attire and accessories.

Auditions:
DCSA students do not need to audition!
Non-DCSA students (10+) please submit audition material online to siregistration@dancecenterofsanantonio.org.
Online Auditions should include the following:
Video Audition - Please send a video of a variation or solo
A short biography. Please include age, number of years training and training history
Headshot
Full-body first arabesque shot
Dancers will be separated by levels per audition.
Note: Video, Bio, Headshot and Photo only applies to new students age 10+.
