About the Children’s Ballet of San Antonio (CBSA)

The Children’s Ballet of San Antonio is an authentic youth ballet company that operates as an independent professional organization. Directed by award-winning artistic director Vanessa Bessler, CBSA is dedicated to inspiring excellence and preparing young dancers for productive, creative lives through classical ballet and the performing arts.

CBSA serves a diverse audience of families and arts enthusiasts, fostering a lifelong love of dance. We offer talented dancers in San Antonio from all backgrounds the opportunity to train and perform at a professional level. Each dancer is guided in developing strong technique, artistry, discipline, and confidence both on and off the stage.

CBSA2: Pre-Professional Dance Training in San Antonio

The CBSA II Professional Division is a full-day vocational dance program in San Antonio designed for the transitioning artist. This post-secondary program provides the technical refinement and performance experience necessary to launch a professional career.

CBSA II Trainee Program

Dancers in the Trainee Program move beyond student classes to master the rigors of a professional company environment. Under the guidance of CBSA Artistic Staff and international ballet masters, Trainees bridge the gap between studio and stage.
