We are thrilled to announce that registration for our Winter Ballet Intensive is here!

This one-week intensive is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring dancers to refine their skills and prepare for the upcoming audition season. Whether you're passionate about classical ballet, eager to perfect your pointe technique, or looking to explore contemporary dance, this intensive has something for everyone.

Our Winter Ballet Intensive promises a week of immersive learning and artistic growth. With a curriculum that includes classical ballet lessons, pointe technique, repertoire, contemporary dance, floor barre, and stretching, you'll have the chance to enhance your skills and discover new facets of your dance abilities.

Tuition and Registration

Tuition

Non-refundable, full payment due upon registration. Tuition will not be prorated.

Registration: OPEN TO DANCERS AGES 8 - 21 (Video Audition for Level placement)

Online pre-registration is highly recommended in order to reserve your spot and to facilitate a quick check-in!

Video Auditions

All dancers are welcome to join. Video audition is for level placement ONLY.

Video auditions should be emailed to information@dancecenterofsanantonio.org.

• Video auditions must include:

  • Students must include one recent photo with their audition registration: 1st arabesque.

  • A LINK to the audition video which has: 

  • At the beginning of the video, you should introduce yourself and state your age, the number of year(s) of ballet/dance study, the number of years of pointe work (if applicable), the name(s) of your current school and teacher(s), and any previous intensive programs, festivals and/or international ballet competitions in which you have participated.

  • Video should be a variation or solo.

  • OR Classwork is sufficient if you do not have a solo or variation.

    • Exercises at the barre

    • Center work (including adagio, pirouettes)

    • Allegro (jumps)

    • Pointe work for dancers 12 y.o. and older (11 y.o. pointe at the barre if on pointe)

    • Younger dancers should also show flexibility

Housing will be available to dancers and families through TownePlace Suites by Marriott
