The Children's Ballet of San Antonio is committed to keeping the tradition of the holiday season alive! CBSA invites Dancers, Gymnasts, Actors and Performing Artists ages 3 to 19 to audition for The Children’s Nutcracker 2025! CBSA auditions are open to performing artists from all over San Antonio and more than 30 surrounding areas. Artists at all experience levels are encouraged to audition.

CBSA’s The Children’s Nutcracker 2025 will be presented on December 12 & 13, 2025. All artists will be cast in roles that showcase and highlight their individual talents and strengths. Artists will also have the opportunity to work with Master Ballet Teachers along with fantastic local choreographers!

Artists are required to register to secure their audition spot. Auditions are free. 

Rehearsals: Held every Saturday afternoon starting in September. Certain groups are called each week with schedules released on Monday prior to rehearsal. Not everyone will rehearse every Saturday, plan for 6 Saturdays of rehearsal for every 1 role offered. Tech week is tentatively scheduled Dec 6-Dec 11.

CBSA’s The Polar Express will be presented at the Empire Theatre on December 5-7, 2025. All artists will be cast in roles that showcase and highlight their individual talents and strengths. Artists will also have the opportunity to work with fantastic local choreographers!

Artists are required to register to secure their audition spot. Auditions are free. 

Rehearsals: Held every Friday evening 5:30-8:30 pm starting in September. Saturday evening rehearsals may be added closer to opening of show and timing will depend on preferences and availability of cast. Tech week is tentatively scheduled Nov 29-Dec 4.

More about Neenah: Neenah was selected to be a part of two U.S.A. dance teams. The national team offered her opportunity to perform at places including Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios, Fox News, for WNBA, and NBA teams. The international World U.S. Dance Team led her to perform at the “World Dance Show” in Riesa, Germany competing against 30 other countries. It was there that Neenah became the silver medalist for her solo as well as a silver medalist in the adult duet category for her tap duet. In the last 15 years she has received multiple choreography and entertainment awards. Her choreography went undefeated at the Regional and National level for three years in a row, making her dancers undefeated National Title Champions. Neenah’s 16 years of teaching has led her to San Antonio, where her vision is to utilize her skillset, knowledge, & passion to make a positive impact in the community.

August 24th Ms. Rodriguez will teach a hip-hop class from 12-1pm for ages 7-11 years old class and then 1:30-3 pm for advanced dancers 12+ years old!
