Musical Theatre Workshop- Modern Musicals in Motion
A high-energy intensive focused on today’s broadway style, including contemporary musical theatre choreography, modern vocal work, storytelling character development, confidence, and stage presence. The week ends with a studio showcase for families!
Newsies JR. Production Intensive Auditions
Step into the world of Broadway with this fast-paced, two-week intensive. You’ll learn choreography, music, and lines at a professional pace, culminating in a ticketed public performance on Friday the 17th.
Step into the world of Broadway with this exciting two-week production intensive of Newsies JR! This program is designed for performers who are ready to challenge themselves in a fast-paced rehearsal environment while working toward a full musical production.
During the two weeks, artists will rehearse and prepare a complete staged production of Newsies JR., learning choreography, music, and lines at an accelerated pace similar to a professional rehearsal process. This intensive focuses on helping performers strengthen their ability to pick up choreography quickly, memorize material efficiently, and collaborate as part of a full cast.
This experience is especially valuable for students interested in pursuing musical theater more seriously, as it provides a rewarding opportunity to train like working performers and bring a full show to life on stage. The program will conclude with a ticketed public performance on Friday the 17th.
How to Join the Cast
Registration is by audition only. We are looking for performers ready to work hard and collaborate.

Winter Ballet Intensive 2025
This winter train with DCSA's award-wining Vaganova certified faculty including award-winning DCSA Artistic Director Vanessa Bessler and top-tier guest instructors.
DCSA is a Top 5% Ballet school in the US, has trained Vaganova method instructors, and is a proud Nikolay Partner School.
Designed for the serious ballet student, this 5 day program offers an opportunity to refine technique and build on your current skills.

The Children’s Nutcracker Auditions
The Children's Ballet of San Antonio is committed to keeping the tradition of the holiday season alive! CBSA invites Dancers, Gymnasts, Actors and Performing Artists ages 3 to 19 to audition for The Children’s Nutcracker 2025! CBSA auditions are open to performing artists from all over San Antonio and more than 30 surrounding areas. Artists at all experience levels are encouraged to audition.
CBSA’s The Children’s Nutcracker 2025 will be presented on December 12 & 13, 2025. All artists will be cast in roles that showcase and highlight their individual talents and strengths. Artists will also have the opportunity to work with Master Ballet Teachers along with fantastic local choreographers!
Artists are required to register to secure their audition spot. Auditions are free.
Rehearsals: Held every Saturday afternoon starting in September. Certain groups are called each week with schedules released on Monday prior to rehearsal. Not everyone will rehearse every Saturday, plan for 6 Saturdays of rehearsal for every 1 role offered. Tech week is tentatively scheduled Dec 6-Dec 11.
The Polar Express: The Musical Auditions
The Children's Ballet of San Antonio is committed to keeping the tradition of the holiday season alive! Artists are required to register to secure their audition spot. Auditions are free.
Rehearsals: Held every Friday evening 5:30-8:30 pm starting in September. Saturday evening rehearsals may be added closer to opening of show and timing will depend on preferences and availability of cast. Tech week is tentatively scheduled Nov 29-Dec 4.
Brady Farrar Contemporary Workshop
Dance Moms alum and YAGP Grand Prix winner, Brady Farrar, will lead a contemporary workshop at the Dance Center of San Antonio.
