Musical Theatre Workshop San Antonio Texas, Musical Theatre Class

Cue the lights!  Cue the music!  Now let’s get ready to dance!

Join the Dance Center of San Antonio for our upcoming youth Musical Theater Workshops. This two-hour workshop will introduce students to the fundamentals of musical theater, including: stage direction, character development through song and dance and learning a choreographed routine.

Jen Greenfield has been performing on stage since she was 7 - 30+ years later, she still considers it home.  Jen’s love of musical theater now goes beyond the stage and into the studio and she is excited to share this with the youth here in San Antonio!

At DCSA, we are thrilled to offer this great opportunity to both boys and girls… and all levels are welcome! Simply wear comfortable clothing appropriate for lots of movement, bare feet or jazz/ballet shoes (no sneakers) and a great attitude.

Once enrolled, a song will be assigned to the kids to learn before the workshop begins.

| Jen Greenfield

Jen Greenfield is an Army brat, (retired) Air Force wife, and mom to two amazing kids! Although new to Texas, she is not new to teaching and performing. Jen has been singing and dancing since birth…well almost. She was cast in her first opera at age 7 and hasn’t stopped since. Jen studied Musical Theater at the University of Central Oklahoma on full scholarship, and from there began her career performing professionally, as well as choreographing for musicals and show choirs. Jen has been teaching dance and acrobatics for 20 years both in the U.S. and abroad. Her leadership and passion for teaching has led to the success of her students in competitions as well as in earning scholarships.

Jen is thrilled to be a part of DCSA, but knows that none of it would be possible without her supportive husband Andy and his willingness to hold down the fort while she's rehearsing. In her free time, Jen coaches her daughter’s softball team, makes sure her son Avery is at his CBSA rehearsals, she bakes a mean Snickerdoodle cookie and is a DIY home-reno junkie!
